My brain is still filled with fresh taught bass thingy~ X_x

Just finished bass PI, in fact, I finished my class an hour ago. PI classes are normally only half an hour, but this lecturer of mine is really really really really nice that he try to make sure I understand most of the things, and my brain was like OMG I WANNA ABSORB MORE BUT I'M AFRAID IT'S TOO MUUUUCH!!! Okay calm down... caaaaaaalm doooooooown~~~~ .___.

I don't wanna forget anything that I've learned today from Bass PI classes so I think I will roughly note them down here~

REMINDER: Adjust the height of the strings to the fret board. It's easier for me to play when the string tension is lower. And if I don't, the muscles on my hand would develop strangely.  Well, I'd have to ask someone who knows how to do it, I'm kinda scared if I do it wrongly~ :O

So today, Frank was asking me to play 1 2, 1 3, and 1 4 back and forth the fret board. It was easy at first, but until I reach 1 4... seriously... MY FINGERS ARE SOOOOO SHOOOOORT that I have to streeeeeeeeeeeeeeeetch my index finger and my pinkyyyyyyy~ Actually, that's not REALLY hard, what's hard is that, when Frank wanted me to speed up and press the strings, the sound goes "beeeoooonggg"~ which is kinda UGLY! It's kind of a challenge because the tension is kinda high and hard to press at the first few frets. meh. .___.''

Then Frank taught me triads, that's what's supposed to be taught today. C Major triad, 1 3 5, one octave. And because I haven't remember all the chords on the fretboard, Frank was like "ehhhhhhhhh so noob one you!" = = And so he taught me the 1 and 7 finger position in one chord, and 1 5 7, for example, in G major, it's G D G. much more easier huh? daaaaaaamn I find myself so stupid by trying to remember all the chords on the fretboard... = =''' Frank was like "Good luck on that~" lolololol~ = =

Alright, just wanna write down what I've learned today. Half an hour more till my English class. *yaaaaaaaaaaawns~*

YUI vs A-Lin?

I was listening to songs in my iTunes, and all of sudden, I heard a VEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERY FAMILIAR intro music, I thought it was YUI's Good bye days, but IT'S NOT! IT'S A GODDAMN CHINESE POP SONG!!! And the background music sounds 80% SAME! OMG! I wonder if anyone ever notice this but I'm sooooooo gonna say it here because it's YUI!!!!

Okay right, let's listen to YUI's Good bye days and then listen to this Chinese singer's song. Listen carefully to the background music.

Now let's listen to the Chinese pop song.

Notice the similarities?? I think it's kinda easy to tell. o.o I think I can even sing the lyrics in YUI's version if I turn off the Mandarin vocal... .___.''

Sadly, nowadays in music industry, using the same chord progression in two or more songs can't be defined as "copying" :/ In fact, you may find 8 out of 10 songs sound the same to each other. And some people won't be able to tell if the music sounds the same because what they really care are if the songs/ melodies are catchy or not to their ears. Just like K-pop, catchy and people can move their body and dance to it. To me, they are more like brain-washing songs. .__.'' No offense to the K-pop lovers. :O

If I didn't choose to study music in the first place, I, too wouldn't be able to tell any difference... I guess... .__.'''

Dewa dewa, till the next time I blog again, though I know I haven't been really active recently. :P
